Hi, my name is Max and I am Chief Creator of MAX’IS Creations. I have lots of ideas. I find them in my head. But The Mug with a Hoop, is my best so far. When I was in 2nd grade, my art teacher told us to make a mug. I like sports and hot chocolate so I put a basketball hoop on my mug for tossing marshmallows into hot cocoa. (It was a gift for my brother, Sam).
How did we get our start?
My parents helped me pitch my idea at a product innovation contest and we found a manufacturing partner to help us put mugs into production!
What makes our products unique?
I happen to have dyslexia, a language-based learning difference often linked to creativity. While dyslexia can make learning in school hard it is also a gift that got me to think of putting a basketball hoop on a mug for throwing marshmallows into hot cocoa. I am proud to raise awareness for the talent and ingenuity of the 1 in 5 kids in the U.S. like me who happen to learn and think differently.

Basketball Lovers mus.
This is so cute … It is a must have for the basketball addict . I bought for my 12 year old grandson and he loved it wish I had bought 6 more , it looks sturdy for a ceramic mug . Definitely look nice on a shelf or as decor for bedroom .

Great gift for hoopers
Got this as a Christmas present and he loved it! It’s so cute and charming and came packaged well to survive the journey in transit. Had no issues with it arriving and unboxing it. The box it came in was nice enough for me to wrap over with having to repackage it.

I purchased two of these as gifts. Both were well-made and adorable. Dishwasher safe. I added a bag of mini marshmallows to make it even more adorable. Both adults thought it was a good gift. It is fragile, so I would not suggest giving it to a child.

Great Grandma saw a commercial featuring these and asked me to order 2 for her gr grandboys who loved them. They are quite large, but manageable for little hands.Quite a hit and sure to create fond memories. They are ceramic, so parents need to be nearby just in case.

Cute gift – more a novelty, but fun for kids
This is a super cute gift and really fun mug – and also helps a great cause. I got it as a gift from the team for our boss because he loves baseball, but it turns out that it’s definitely more a novelty mug than an everyday useable one, but it’s still fun – and totally fine for a kid with hot cocoa, etc. It’s well made, has a cute “almost homemade” look, and doesn’t get super hot quickly – again, good for kids.

Such a fun gift
This is the 3rd mug I’ve bought as gifts for my daughter’s basketball friends! It’s ginormous, heavy and solid and they absolutely love it! The only reason I gave it four stars is the price, it’s overpriced but really there isn’t anything I’ve found like it for less.

This was purchased for a teenager who is an avid hockey player. He absolutely loves it, as a matter of fact his dad want’s one also. This cup/bowl is large and made with good quality material. I purchased the basketball hoop bowl. This is a cute porcelain bowl. My son likes it quite a bit and we have used it/washed it several times since Christmas (2017) without it chipping (so far). The material is definitely the type that will chip easily. Once it does I will have to update my review to give a better idea of this bowls lifespan.The craftsmanship is pretty good. It looks hand painted, and the details look very well done. It is such a cute idea for a playful/fun bowl, I just hope it withstands normal wear and tear.3-4 Month update:…And the hoop as fallen off! I placed it kinda forcefully into our porcelain (I think…it’s white at least) sink and the hoop literally fell off. I am kinda disappointed because it didn’t seem like that hard of a placement, but alas the hoop fell into the bowl! Now our sink has been the graveyard for a number of cups, plates, and bowls over the last few years (allright, all right, I’ll admit they were all at my hand!) but I still think the bowl should not have broken with just a forcefull placement into the sink.We glued it back on and you can hardly tell, but I think this still says something about how fragile the bowl’s material is. Enough so that I am downgrading the review from a four stars to three.

Better than the picture
I had to open it, even though it’s a gift for a female teenage basketballer.It is soo adorable!! She’s gonna love it!! It’s perfect and bigger than I thought it would be. And very sturdy. The hoop is bug enough to throw cereal or cherries or nuts or marshmallows. She coupd even use it to hold make up brushes or cotton swabs.
