LOUD LOUD LOUD!!!
Now I see why they call it a Grenade. Pull the pin and you’ll wish you hadn’t. But if in case of an emergency, it would be perfect. I’ll leave it in my car. Hopefully, I never have to use it but if I do, it should scare off an attacker very well.

Very loud
For a small little device this is very loud. Great to always have on any key chain or bag just in case. Very easy to use and works very well

Terrible battery
Tried it once to test it out and the next time I tried to use it when a bear startled me it was useless!

Loud!!!
It’s great, definitely will work if I ever need it to. Only complaint is that it’s a little easy to pull the pin, I’ve accidently done so multiple times from digging through my purse or even just dropping my keys. Aside from that though, it’s LOUD

Super loud and great for security
This product is a must have if you have daughters! Nowadays you have to have some sort of protection against criminals. This is real nice because it’s easy…. Just pull the pin! Great for those night walking. I recommend this product for your safety.

A teal blue sound grenade…
Took this on a long backpacking trip on late July, deep into grizzly bear country.I took this into the trip specifically as a first line of defense if the opportunity came to use it, as I was armed with bear spray as well. I figured if a black bear or even a grizzly was discovered close to us, this would be a good way to encourage quick separation. I don’t think this would do much good with a charging bear.In any case, the only negative for my perspective is that it uses Button cell batteries. Personally, I’d much rather have something that uses a more common battery such as AAA. Also, I would rather have the grenade pin be something… I don’t know… a little more beefy and easy to pull off and put back on to stop the sound. Also, I have a hard time getting over the fact that this is called and even has the same action as a grenade, and yet it has the look and feel of something straight out of the 70’s or 80’s. I don’t find teal blue to be a very threatening or manly color. Can we have camo, black, steel gray, or how about khaki? But, hey, maybe there’s those of you with your florescent or pastel colored hiking pants looking to accessorize ;-).In all seriousness, the color is not important because it’s all about the action. I pulled the pin out very briefly and can confirm it worked and was something I was interested in shutting off as quickly as I could. And thankfully, my 30 mile backpacking trip went off without seeing a single bear or other threatening animal.I think this is a relatively inexpensive and I also would add lightweight accessory that’s it great first line of defense for various situations. Recommended.

Lightweight and compact – fits in small pocket of my handbag
This is a lightweight and highly portable personal alarm – it’s light enough to put in your handbag and carry around with you at all times, which is very convenient. It’s easily loud enough to draw attention to yourself in a public area if you ever found yourself in a sketchy situation.I’m considering getting another one to put under my bedside table at night as the loud noise could be an extra deterrent in the case of an intruder.Something to note is that you might want to periodically check the batteries to make sure it still has power for when you might need it…

Handy but not very tactical
Loud. Easy set up. Could use a better attachment to set up with a trip wire and definitely NOT “military” green

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
There’s no such thing as being overly cautious in today’s world. I’m upgrading the security for all the women in my life, from these small personal alarms, to stun guns (my daughter loves her new little stun gun). I’m a retired law enforcement officer and I rarely leave the house without a concealed weapon. My girls don’t have that option, so I keep them on their toes being aware of their surroundings. When they walk to the car at night, they carry an alarm in their hand ready to pull the pin. It will stun the assailant and hopefully give them time to run. It is also loud enough to get people’s attention. I hope they never get into a situation where they need to use it, but better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it. This is small enough to carry attached to their purse and is also loud enough to scare the poo out of anyone not expecting it.

Clever chain-pull device to screech loudly. Everyone noticed and checked when I tested it.
BOTTOM LINE:1. I recommend this BASI sound grenade device.2. The current price of ~$35 is a bit high.LIKES:- Easy to use. Pull the “pin” separating the chain from the unit.- Warning by partially pulling the pin.DISLIKES:- Not rechargeable. I have to buy LR44 button batteries when it runs out of power.

Loud & effective
First of all it arrived sooner than expected which is great. So normally I exercise my 2A rights among my other rights as I have taken an oath and have served my Country, State, & Community. Unfortunately I was injured at work and kind of broken and because I travel to states that don’t understand how the Constitution works & restricts citizens also I didn’t have enough time in grade for LEOSA, so I do look for alternative items to deter or hopefully prevent something if I have to go to these areas. Thos being said this is loud and think it would draw attention if used in public but I don’t think it super durable, being compact is a pro & con, so honestly in a tense or real life situation I would be worried someone else may drop this & it would break or get stomped on.This being said as I mentioned I looked for alternatives when I’m not allowed to have a pew & where I see this being used is attaching it in a hotel room basically as a door alarm(though I have a door wedge alarm that only can be used on doors)& many other ways as a portable travel alarm yet super affordable. I had a more expensive one I rigged to my suitcase in a hotel room and only way it would go off is of my bag was opened when I got back the hotel though my stuff wasn’t taken the alarm was gone fortunately I hid a trail camera and caught housekeeping snooping around it was actually kind of funny when she set the alarm off. Though I have the camera I will be buying more of theseThough depending on where you live it could be very effective to use in public as a deterrent but with some current events criminals almost have more rights in some places so if one were to carry it I would have a backup plan. But like I mentioned as a stationary or portable alarm system is where I will use it. I actually tested this in home, my dog can open a door if not deadbolted which I purposely didn’t lock & it awoke me. I have shown a few brothers and they liked the idea. The only other con which may of changed or improved was shipping took longer than most other Amazon items

Loud enough to need hearing protection while using!
It’s not as terrifyingly loud as I thought something would be that goes by the title “Sound Grenade” lol, but it is loud enough. If I’m the one pulling the pin, I definitely want to make sure I have ear plugs in. Otherwise, when my son did it and I was a room away with my ears covered initially, when I uncovered my ears it wasn’t THAT bad that it hurt them…at least not for the few seconds we had it going off. I plan on keeping this handy in my hiking backpack, heading up to the U.P. and will feel safer having this packed among my “arsenal” (from animal and human predators). Could come in handy too and make it easier to be found if you get lost while exploring, lose the path or stray too far from your hiking buddy/buddies. Make sure when you put the pin back in that you feel it click in place. I thought I had it back in and it kept going off, then I realized I didn’t push it in far enough. Would feel better about it if the plastic housing had some more weight or bulk to it. And the price seems a tad steep. I do really like it tho and will make sure it’s packed along for hiking and other excursions.

Loud and easy to pull
The media could not be loaded.
This is a great device for personal protection. For the price it has a great form and is very loud. You can hear the shriek in the video. I really like this piece and only gave it a 4 because of how easy the device comes separated from the ring. We have it on our dog leash for coyotes and other situations. There have been a couple of time when the dog pulling on the leash disconnected the grenade. In the right situation this is perfect, just be able to put the pin back in.In the end, having protection is better than not having it. This is a great option and one we will keep for our walks even if the grenade does occasionally activate.Pros:- lightweight- loud- easy to reinsert pin- color optionsEnjoy!

Loud siren keychain.
This is small compact and great for feeling more secure if you’re alone. The pull pin siren is loud and I feel like it would deter a person or animal. If you live in a high crime, college student or even go hiking this could give you a bit more security. This also has small light, not very bright. There are screws in the back where you could replace the battery.

Sound Grenade Is An Interesting Concept
The media could not be loaded.
I keep coming back to the ‘who’s this for’ question and I’m still not entirely sure who I’ve got it mapped to. Once you pull the pin on this, it will continuously emit a defeaning 130dB until the pin is restored, the battery runs out, or more likely… someone destroys the device. My biggest complaint is that the pin itself has a keychain like device on it, which although it’s still ‘intentional’ to remove the pin, you open yourself to some embarrassing accidental usage. The biggest thing this will do is draw attention to you, and potentially scare away any attackers. I say potentially because in this day and age, I’m not sure sound alone is enough. That being said, check out the video to see exactly what you get here, and it’s better to have options than to not. So given the price, I think there’s more good here than bad when it comes to personal protection it’s important and for those reasons I’m in.

Loud!
The media could not be loaded.
This little device brings me some security while walking alone at night. I bring it along hiking too because it could also deter unwelcomed four-legged friends due to how loud it is. It has a button that activates a little flashlight if needed, but isn’t strong enough to illuminate more than something directly in front of you. The only thing that makes me nervous to carry it is how easy the pin can be pulled. I find myself getting paranoid that I may pull it accidentally! Overall, this safety alarm serves its purpose and I would recommend it if you’re looking to get one.

Good for animals…four-legged and two.
The media could not be loaded.
For such a small device to carry, I like the idea of being able to set up a perimeter trip alarm.About this device, with comparison to the shotgun/primer versions:- This alarm is persistent when tripped, compared to one crack/bang of the primer types. Both are sure to alert/scare, but this one resonates better.- The primer versions don’t need batteries, and can theoretically last indefinitely, but un-tripped, I expect that the battery in this will last for a year or better. So this factor depends on your application.- This has two alarms which alternate/can be-set. You have to trip the alarm to cycle between them, which is a little kludgy, but it works.- There is some tension on the trip pin, but it’s not much at all, so you may want to add a little slack in your tripwire to minimize false pulls/alarms.- The device has a long-press power button, and status LED, to turn the device on and off.Bottom Line:Good trip device, but with minimal trip tension, so be sure to add some slack to the tripwire.

Small size, big noise!
This is perfect to shock someone back to their senses and deter them from doing something stupid. I feel better when my family has something like this on them.

Convenient personal alarm
I travel in my van and as a woman alone I’m always conscious of my safety. This is a very comforting thing to have especially when I stop at rest areas. I keep it on my keyring so it’s handy. I’ve never had to use it, but I’ve tested it out and it is LOUD. No one’s going to want to be around this when it’s triggered.

Loud and Compact
The packaging is good, and nothing arrived damaged. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. This is a very small device that packs a wallop of sound. I use it for hiking around my neighborhood. We live close to a national park and have bears and mountain lions. But, mostly, I use it for aggressive neighbor dogs who have gotten out of their yards. It works great!

Loud portable alarm
Flashlight would work for a quick personal need, but not overly bright. The sound is really loud when you pull the pin… annoyingly loud–which is a big plus. Every situation is different, but this seems like it would do the job of startling an attacker or an animal. It is definitely loud enough to get some attention and hopefully scare off whatever you are hoping to scare off.
