Cute lamp for the Mario enthusiast, decoration use only it wouldn’t light up a closet
Very thin lampshade but very cute! We love the retro Mario feel it gives. You can turn it off/on and change brightness but the bulb is pathetically dim we wanted this as a bedside reading lamp. NO! It will be relegated to the corner for decoration only. The box was damaged as is the shade. I would like to replace it but I’m not sure it’s worth the hassle.

Very cool, worth the buy
Got this for my boyfriends video game room, he loves it beside his computer instead 🙂 beautiful lamp that is actually licensed by Nintendo. The lamp shade itself is thin but I don’t mind. The a turns it on and b off. Whole thing is super neat.

Extremely disappointed
This is likely the worst quality design I’ve seen from Palendrone. It’s too dim for a real light but it burns out if you try to use it as a night light. It’s a lose/lose. Trash. I won’t buy again.

Make sure you pay attention to instructions or the LEDs will burn out.
This would be a great product except for two issues:1) The LEDs will short out if you do not follow instructions. They are not replaceable. Use a 5V 500 mA USB charger. Do not plug this into the wall. Plug it into a power strip with a surge protector. I would also suggest not leaving it on for more than needed to protect the LEDs.2) The brightness is too dim, even at the highest setting. It is more like a night light. It is good for ambience but not much else.This product would rate much higher for me if it came with a USB charger or its own surge protection. I also wish I could use a standard light bulb like other Paladone products.

Works As Advertised!
I love it! It’s exactly what I expected, it works just as shown in the video, and it’s so cute. It’s perfect for my arcade area. Buttons work as expected. The brightness guess up and down with the up down buttons on the controller. Pretty great for the price. Highly recommend!

Shipping
The light itself is adorable and I love it. Not very bright but that’s okay as I intended it more for a night light type lamp. But. If you plan to give this as a gift and the recipient lives in your house beware it comes in the product box with just a shipping label on the outside. So now one of my Christmas presents for my nephews is ruined because it was just sitting there in all its glory with the packaging visible. No outside box, and while I can appreciate the box supply savings it would have been nice to know that’s how it comes so I could have planned accordingly.

I got this as a gift
I am not 100% sure how the person enjoyed this, since you know people are always kind about a gift. But, my brother and his wife seemed to like this item when they unwrapped it. They considered getting it for a friend of theirs that same Christmas. I will check back and see how they liked it and comment in more detail later.

Disappointed
Not what I expected, I’m a collector of video games and anything video games and hated the fact that the box it cam in was ripped and bent because all the did was stick the label on the box and sent it that way. Lamp is not too bright and the stand the lamp is on seems bent.

Instructions worthless – Had to figure out how to mount shade myself
At first I thought they mounted the picture upside down but you need to unscrew the light cover before you can add the shade. It twist off then twist back on after adding the shade. The instructions said nothing of this. For some reason the instructions say “battery instructions” even though it’s not battery powered.Also for some reason amazon just slaps a shipping label right on the box and ships it like that. No chance of getting one for collection quality.

Be aware of shipping
This is actually pretty cute but I’m glad mine came undamaged because packaging was flimsy and came in the product box itself. The lamp cover is a thin plastic material and I can see it getting damaged if shipping is rough.

Cheap
I was really excited about this lamp because my child loves video games. However, this lamp just wasn’t what I thought it would be. Its short. Has an old USB plug. And on the brightest setting is very dim. On top of that the bulb is 1 I’ve never seen before so wouldn’t know where to get a replacement. Then after like 2 weeks the middle setting burnt out. Then the lowest setting started stobe lighting and I just sent it back. For that price it is definitely not worth it.

I was looking for a small desk lamp for my son’s room. This thing is so dim, even on it’s brightest setting. We wound up having to use it as a night light instead. Still very cool but definitely not a lamp.

Cute lamp
This lamp was cute. My teenage granddaughter put it on her wish list. I realized I did not read through the description and thought it was a regular lamp. I believe she will like it. I was amazed that it arrived in the product box that was not sturdy at all. Thankfully it arrived in one piece and not damaged. I would recommend to the company that they package it more for shipping.

Bulb is dying already
Only had it for a month and the bulb has gotten pretty dim. It wasn’t very bright to begin with and now it’s basically just a decoration on my sons desk.I wouldn’t recommend buying this as it only works with a USB plug and the bulb isn’t something you can buy at Walmart. Pretty much a waste of money.

Cute but not great
It does not get very bright, even with the ability to adjust it. When connected to an outlet with a switch, you can turn the light off by the switch but that resets the unit so you cannot turn it on by the wall switch.

Looks great but doesn’t last long.
This lamp looks awesome but shortly after purchase it started only working on the lowest setting which basically made it a night light and then eventually started flickering and now doesn’t work at all. Not sure if there is a replacement bulb because it uses an odd set of led’s. Wasn’t ever really that bright. Look’s awesome but no longer functions as a lamp…which is it’s intended purpose I thought.

PERFECT for retro Nintendo fans
LOVE!!! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I tested it all out before boxing it back up to wrap, and it was perfect! I love the controller as a light switch, powers on with A button and off with B button and it has 3 dimming options with the direction pad. He’s going to love it! Thanks so much!

Very cheap bulbs break easily
There are three tiny bulbs in there. For mine, one came broken. The other two are already dim and flickering after little use.This is terrible design. It looks like the connection for the lights were glued on rather than being soldered. It looks like some kids project where they try to make their first nightlight, not something a professional would sell.

I bought this brand new, was NOT brand new
My son is a huge fan of Mario and all the retro Nintendo stuff. When I found this lamp I was ecstatic about getting it as a birthday present. Well, what was delivered is definitely used, the box is destroyed and all the parts were loose in a big Amazon box. I don’t even know if it works. But, I did NOT order a used item and what was delivered is not as described in the advert. Very disappointed. Everything else I’ve purchased from here (superfun store) has been great, this is the exception.

Might as well read in the dark
This is the dimmest lamp I’ve ever seen. For one I thought I could put an actual light bulb in this two it couldn’t light up a blacked out room. This is like gameboys before they had a backlight. Unfortunately I bought two in his and hers situation, but we are both upset at our purchase. Also the paint chips easily.

Looks pretty, but…
At first glance I was somewhat satisfied with the lamp. It was very light weight. Very pretty. Two weeks and maybe ten hours worth of run time later and the bulb flickers when on the high setting and doesn’t work with the low setting.

Love hate relationship
UPDATE: after ta couple days the lights no longer dim or brighten. Processing return as we speak.Lamp is super cute. Smaller then I thought it would be but overall really love the look of it. It didn’t come with a micro usb which is super disappointing considering it was almost a $40 lamp. Not something I would spend my hard earned money on but happened to have a gift card and decided to treat myself. It does seem to flicker from time to time but I’m too attached to return it now.

Fun decor lamp to add to my arcade room. A little pricey for what it is, and disappointed it comes with a USB but no wall wart, but otherwise a fun piece! Brightness was better than anticipated after reading other reviews, but it’s definitely not going to light up an entire bedroom or anything.

Adorable but didn’t last long
Shortly after receiving, the light started flickering and doesn’t give a steady stream of light. It’s like it has a short in it. I’ve tried to replace the bulb but I can’t find anything to fit. It’s a super strange bulb.

Cute lamp but mangled
I give it 3…. stars because my brother loved It as a birthday gift. i normally don’t review things but I was so disappointed when this came in the mail, the shade was so mangled I had to form it back to a circle myself. The multiple dimmer option is great for a cute and small desk lamp. But I really was just disappointed in the packaging. It came from the UK and I understand customs can take a toll on packages but there was no additional reinforcement/packaging. It came in it’s original box and like it’s been around the world a time or two, hence why the shade was so mangled. But my brother didn’t seem to mind. It’s an awesome lamp, still working well for him. Other people haven’t seemed to have an issue, so maybe it’s an isolated incident.

Super Cute Light- Would be Cuter if it worked.
The light itself is a cute design. The LED bulbs worked at first, but are very dim. There is not a lot of variance in the brightness from the brightest setting to the lowest setting (there are 3 settings… kind of).More disappointing than the light output, is the fact that the LED bulbs stopped working within months of having the light. A light that does not emit light isn’t very useful. Right now the light is for decor purposes only until my husband attempts to replace the lighting element in it. :/

Fortunately the lamp was not damaged
The lamp came today, and I was very concerned prior to opening because the cardboard box was significantly damaged (there was a gap between the product and the shipping box). After opening the cardboard shipping box, I discovered that the box that contained the lamp was wet and mangled (there was no water stains/damage on the cardboard shipping box). I am concerned as to the source of the liquid. I was actually surprised that the shade wasn’t bent. I did plug it in, and it worked. I will say that the state of the packaging, especially the wetness of the box would deter me from ever buying from this company again.

Looks cool, but garbage lamp.
I ordered this for my son for Christmas. It was very cool, worked well at first. Then the light slowly got dimmer and dimmer. The light has different brightness settings, but it just got lower and lower. Within a few months it did not work at all anymore. Also, it doesn’t have a bulb that you can replace. I contacted customer service and I have to say, they were quick to respond and sent out a brand new light immediately. Now, a few months later I am starting to have the same issue. Just seems to be poor quality. Bottom line, cool looking lamp, but poor quality.

Looks nice but burns out and can’t be replaced.
It is sad they didn’t just use small bulbs for this. It is crazy light and really not made super great but it functioned. My wife loved it but now after a few months, the bulbs are flickering and there is no way to replace these circuit bulbs.I wouldn’t recommend.
