    I rated this 5 stars because the product itself is wonderful and I didn’t want Amazon’s ignorance to be the reason it got a bad review.Our package came completely smashed. The box looks like it was ran over. Thankfully the product wasn’t damaged in any way, but it did damage the product box.

    You have to shake it

    So I love this little potion lamp. It is perfect in my sons Minecraft themed bedroom. The only thing that bothers me is the “false advertising”. The picture makes it seem like you just tap the top to change the colors. But really you have to SHAKE it for it to change colors. Not a huge deal but I would have preferred a touch top over shaking and I just don’t really far why they include that photo if that’s not how the light works.

    Shake it

    Update- after removing batteries, shaking it and putting batteries back in it started working! Was broken upon arrival. Tried two different sets of batteries. Won’t turn on at all. I have a very disappointed 8 year old. Don’t recommend

    Perfect!

    My 3-year grandson into ‘everything’ Minecraft. All he wanted for his birthday this year was a nightlight. He told anyone who would listen. His wish came true and he got 3 night-lights and none were alike. He loves them as he still doesn’t like to sleep in the dark. It has a nice soft glow and he likes the changing colors. It makes a great gift to any young Minecraft lover.

    Great

    I got it and was so happy with it I bought two, is a bit sensitive tho but that’s fine and the charging port is on the bottom with no way out the side for use while charging so it has to lay down to charge.

    Perfect gift for a Minecraft fan

    I got this for my adult son who’s been playing Minecraft since he was a kid. He loves it! It’s a perfect fun/toy type gift for someone a little bit older. It changes color which he loves. The part that lights up is inside the clear bottle are of the lamp which definitely makes it look like a glowing potion bottle. It’s sturdy enough to give to a younger kid as well.

    Cheap screw

    The first one I bought was rendered useless when the cheap screw they used to close the battery back was stripped out almost immediately. The wrong screwdriver size was used but that screw seemed to be made of lead it was so soft

    So cool

    Truthfully I’m so unimpressed with most of my 7 year olds toys. This “night light” “toy” Minecraft “potion bottle”, whatever you call it, is SO cool. It’s really pretty and after you put two AAA batteries in, the bottle illuminates different colors when you shake it. My daughter uses it as a night light. I Love it! Hope it lasts!

    Cool night lamp

    It’s a cool idea and I’m sure my son will love it. The price is pretty good. Durability is hard to say as you shake the lamp to change colors. Battery powered, would have been good if it also came with a wall plug. Over all good buy. Cheers

    Cute product but short battery life

    Overall the product matches image, but the battery life is very short. My son uses it for a night lite and I have to replace the batteries every 3 days. So would like if this product had a USB port and was rechargeable instead of constantly changing batteries. So only gave it 4 out of 5 stars.EDIT*-We’ve been using this device since we got it as a night light and it still works great. So updating my stars to 5 based on usage. We also switched to rechargeable batteries to cut down in battery waste which allows it to now go 5days before batteries need to be replaced. Still wish it had a USB port for charging and a snap closer instead of a very tiny screw for replacement of batteries.(Pics taken after replacing batteries)

    Neat but build quality isn’t anything to write home about

    The potion itself is cool but like..the build quality just isn’t that great. For example, the battery tray was impossible to open without having to grab something to pry it open as I unscrewed the screw. Then once I put the batteries in and screwed the cover back on, it wouldn’t turn on. I would flick the switch over and over, shake the thing to see if that would do anything, but nothing. I just tried pushing the switch in and messing with its position and boom. NOW it turns on. But its not consistent. The “shake to change light color” feature doesn’t work all too great either seeing you have to carefully set it down as to not change the color 3 more times. Overall, I wish it was just put together better because this is a super cool idea and the physical build of the bottle is nice. Just a few messed up spots in the paint job and poorly put together internals

    Color change stopped working immediately

    The version I received has a charger instead of batteries but immediately after my son opened it on Christmas, the shake to change color feature stopped working. Now it’s stuck on light blue and won’t change. Disappointing & would not recommend!

    My kids love this

    It is durable enough that my kids can pick it up and run around with it when playing. The color changing on the shake is quite fun for them. It is also a cute nightlight. My kids would like it to be brighter but I think it’s plenty bright for a nightlight.

    Wow!

    I bought this for my child, who loves Minecraft, and it is an awesome product. My child loves it and so do I! Each time we shake it, the colors change. It is so much fun! There is a beautiful teal color that we use as a nightlight and it is calming. My child loves it. Great product!

    Yes battery will die if left on all night, we have many that need to be turned on after a while. But these are great durning a cool camp in reading time in a tent lol there’s so many options on these battery Minecraft lamps this one is on the higher end of the price but it does have a lot of colors and is bright. So we love it.

    Both were broken

    I was disappointed in this lamp twice. I purchased the first lamp and it worked really well. Later on in the evening it stopped working completely. I asked for a new one to be resent and when I got it only two colors worked. After the second attempted of having the lamp I gave up. It is not worth it.

    The bottom is not flat

    The bottom of the bottle is not flat I had to sand paper it to make the bottle stand steadily. Other than that, the design is very cute!

    Perfect for anyone who loves minecraft

    My 7 year old nephew absolutely loves mine craft and he loves this! My sister says he takes it with him everywhere. It’s been a few months since purchase and it’s held up well to constant use. Would recommend!

    Really love it just arrived with a scratch

    The media could not be loaded.

     Love the lamp it works perfectly and reminds me of my childhood. Only problem is there’s a noticeable scratch that’s on the inside of it that was there when I opened the box. Other than that love it!!

    Wonderful gift for childs or minecraft fans

    I bought this to my brother as a gift and he loved it. It is plastic but sturdy, and you can open the light with just shaking up-down the “flask”. Great for gift purposes!

    Son Loves!

    My son used his own money to buy this! He is 8 and absolutely loves it. He thinks it is pretty cool that you just need to shake it to change the color. He likes to have it up in the top bunk of his bed in case he wakes up during the night and needs a light to get down. Would definitely recommend to any minecraft loving kid.

    I love it don’t get me wrong but the peace you use the screw in the batteries dose not keep the connect from a to b sometimes it won’t even turn on even tho I have brand new batteries in it and sometimes it dose or I have to hit it real hard to get it to work so I’ll give it 2 stars.

    Not a Night-light

    Bought two of these for my kids months before Christmas, stored them away. My downfall because one was broken, never would turn on tried multiple times. Couldn’t return because we got it months prior. The one that did work eats up batteries. After four nights of being on it’s dead again. Unrealistic to advertise it as a nightlight. It’s poor quality unfortunately because the concept was cool, my kids were excited but very disappointed.

    Forget Minecraft

    Forget about Minecraft. That’s not important. This is simply a very unique, cozy ambient light. Shake to change colors. Feels durable, beautiful design that’s both modern and retro. I would’ve paid $50 to be honest. Runs on 2 AAA batteries.

    Eh

    Cheaply made. Wish they made them like they used to. I was willing to spend the 30+ dollars on it because I bought it before and my son loved it but we lost it during a move. This one doesn’t live up to the old one ( made by the same company) The color changes are so discreet I debate whether or not there were more than 2 colors. And the plastic felt like one drop and it would break. I’ll spend 10-15 for a toy like that but not 30-40. I returned mine and am still hunting for an earlier model of this.

    Perfect night light

    My nephew loves minecraft, and mostly plays on android. I was stumped on a christmas gift, and this seemed perfect. Being a minecraft fan I think he’ll love it. Seems durable, has multiple colors, and makes a great night light for young’erns.

    This light is super fun. I got it as part of a surprise Minecraft theme in my son’s new bedroom. It changes color when you shake it and is a great nightlight as well. I turn it off after my kid goes to sleep, but it still eats batteries.

    No way to plug it in

    This lamp is super cool, and my son and I loved the “shake to change color feature” but…. There’s no cord. We wanted to use it as a night light, and the batteries died within a week. It’s still cool, but now it’s just an interesting toy. Unless you want to replace the batteries every week, buy something that plugs in.

    The light is cool. It’s annoying changing colors you have to kind of shake it then hold it steady when setting it down or it will change colors again. My biggest complaint is I wish it had a corded charger. I dislike that is uses batteries and it goes through the batteries so quickly. Other than that it is a nice addition to any Minecraft themed room. My 9 year old loves it. His only complaint was he wished he could change the brightness.
