Nice size, clear liquid
I liked that this was just a touch bigger than the usual vials that were sale. And the liquid stays clear, even with all the “play” my grandkids give it

Great Science Gift!
Christmas gift for my son. Amazing to watch it work. The magnets are VERY powerful so keep it away from anything that a magnet can ruin. My son even managed to pinch his fingers multiple times in the first hour of using it so be cautious with smaller children/hands. Youll get 4 magnets with the unit that will allow you to stretch this any way you can think of. I do wish there was far more ferrofluid in the bottle. For the price paid I would think that more fluid was possible, but perhaps the cost is more for the strong magnets.

Only worth it if your kid likes it.
My son saw this stuff in a YouTube video and had to have it. It’s a lot to spend on such a small product that can only be displayed. It’s only worth the money if you’re into displays or collectors.

Over priced.
Magnets are as strong as they are brittle. Came with a slow leak. My son does like playing with it but ended up sending it back.

I got this for my son. He loved it first but after just two days, the magnets started chipping off. I’m going to return it

Cool
This is a really cool item! I was just disappointed because immediately the outside of the magnets were disintegrating as they snapped together. All in all a cool gift

Not enough FerroFluid
Fun toy if you have a Super powerful magnet handy. Not enough FerroFluid supplied. Magnets supplied are 1/2 minimum Gauss needed to do interesting things.

Good ferro fluid
Good ferro—however after a few months the ferro seems to clump slightly. Giving it a less than perfect appearance.

Pretty cool
Comes with small bottle (liquid with gel/metal substance) and 2 magnets. Keeps the kids entertained for a few minutes at a time. Magnets lift the goo from side to side. Be careful with kids handling. Magnets can pinch.

Fun desktop toy

This is a ton of fun and once people see it they can’t help but wanting to try it out. The solution the ferrofluid is in is crystal clear so it’s super easy to see the effects the magnets have on the ferrofluid. The magnets are strong so be careful about getting them too close to each other, but even if you do you can easily pull them apart by the handles. The more you play around with this the better control you will have over the fluid and the size and number of spikes you form with the magnets.

so much fun
You get a glass bottle with liquid and the magnetic fluid, and two strong magnets with handles. The ferro fluid is a small blob, the label says it is about 2 ml if the liquid. The magnets are very strong so you have to hold onto them firmly or they tend to snap together if you are not careful. It is so much fun to play with it.

Wanted to love this

I really wanted to love this. I’m not sure if there isn’t enough in the bottle but I am not getting the same reactions they have on the bottle. There aren’t any instructions and they handles have a magnet attached to another magnet, but it isn’t glued on so sometimes it attaches to the other one instead of the handle.I love this idea, but something isn’t quite right in the functionality compared to the images.

Fun to waste time with.
I recently purchased the Pure Source FerroFluid Display and was pleasantly surprised with its quality. The display bottle is sturdy and well made, and the ferrofluid inside is mesmerizing to watch. The only downside is the price, which I found to be a bit high. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend this ferrofluid display to anyone looking for a unique and interesting piece for their home or office. 4 stars. Use multiple magnets for a chaotic display.

Cool toy- my teenager loves it!
I wanted this for my 15-year-old who is really into science and he was very fascinated by it. He had actually been wanting some ferro fluid, but I didn’t even know. So it was very well received by him. It’s a neat little toy that’s decent quality. As a homeschooling mom, I wish that it included more educational content and explanations. It works as it should and is neat to play around with though. I would highly recommend it if you’re not seeking educational content as well.

Fun to fidget with
I find ferrofluid so interesting, and this is a great way to play around with it. The included magnets are super strong. There isn’t a ton of ferrofluid in the bottle, though. It’s hard to get the stretch seen on the box because there isn’t really enough to reach between the magnets like that. I also have a pretty big air bubble that has a dusting of ferrofluid stuck inside; I’ve tried to coax it out with the magnets and can’t.It’s not perfect, but it’s still fun to fidget with and makes a cool desk trinket. It’d probably make an awesome gift for kids into science. I love the company’s mission, too. It’s always nice to support a company doing good in the world.

Interesting toy, comes with little information
I have always been fascinated by magnetics. The ferrofluid is cool, but it comes with almost no information other than “proprietary suspension fluid” and 50ml of ferrofluid. It would be far better to even print a QR code on the box where we could find out more information about what the properties are. Also, I have a dirty little air bubble in my container and some translucent ?? floating about. As a STEM based product, I would expect more precision (no bubbles, and clear suspension fluid).I appreciate the company’s stated goal to provide 1 million STEM toys to students, but a toy with no information about it has very short attention span. Also, I understand that the fluid filled glass container needs to be protected in shipping, but could that be layers of biodegradable cardboard instead of styrofoam packing?

Fascinating and difficult to put down
My kids have been interested in FerroFluid for quite a while. The way it reacts to magnets is very interesting. This little bottle is self contained, 2ml of FerroFluid and whatever the “proprietary clear liquid” is they use is sealed with a rubber cap. It’s on my coffee table now and someone is constantly picking it up and playing around with it.The only reason I give this item four stars an not five is the neodymium magnets have begun to chip away. It is normal for the two (very strong) magnets to clack together when the get near each other and I have noticed small magnet chips coming off.Overall, it’s a very cool little desk toy.

neat desk toy
makes a nice desk toy to play withcomes with 2 strong neodymium magnetsthe issue i have is that it comes with very little ferroliquid. volume-wise, it is probably the same as an m&m or less. not really a good value.the neodymium magnets are strong and like neodymium magnets, they are brittle, so expect chipped magnets if you are not careful.

Amazingly fun to play with!
This ferro fluid is just a really fun little toy. It’s super fun to watch how the fluid moves between the magnets, and my kids just love it. The neodymium magnets themselves are SUPER strong, and on more than one occasion yanked right out of my hands to join together. The ferro fluid itself is very high quality, and you can get some very nice, fun, spiky formations with the magnets at the right angles, or in the right spots. The video on the seller’s page is pretty accurately representative of what this toy is like. I highly recommend it, and it’s very giftable – it’s an attractive toy with no aesthetics defects. Plus, you can observe a stranger side of magnetism you don’t often get to see with this ferro fluid. Easy 5 stars! You will love it!

Extremely Fun Desk Toy
I love science things and this toy is no different. From the moment I took it out of the box, I was mesmerized by playing with the fluid and magnets. This is definitely fun for all ages but just realize that it is a glass bottle and can break. It comes with the bottle and two strong magnets. It’s a little annoying that both of the magnets don’t stay on the bottle but instead they slide off and find each other to snap together and fly off. It’s a great gift for the price but I would have liked a little more ferrofluid in the bottle as mine has trouble reaching across the bottle by the two magnets.

insanely neat gift
great for any science buff. My only complaint is that I wish there was a bit more of the fluid inside as It seems to be just a tiny amount in the jar. The responsiveness to the magnet is so cool and can be played with for hours and the fun would still be there for the right person. I truly love it and think it is a great shelf piece and conversation starter. Having venom in a jar is pretty dang cool.

Keeps my son interested for hours!
My eight year old, loves science, and watches, science, videos, where he saw someone using ferrofluid. He begged me to get this for him, so as a reward for good grades, this is what he wanted. He loves to play with it, and will pull it out to show his friends when they come over. The only reason I gave it one star is because the magnets came apart really easily and and got stuck to each other. We eventually got it unstuck, but it took a lot.

Interesting fidget
Boxed as a nice little gift, this fidget-type science toy is quite fun. It’s interesting to see how the different magnets create different shaped fields. The bottle is sealed and the four magnets are quite strong. I would not recommend this for a child under 8. For older children, teens, and adults, this is a very interesting desk toy, conversations piece, or fidget toy to get the brain juices flowing.

This is a very cool little display of Ferrofluid. I’ve always wanted to play with this stuff and now I get to show the kids. Science is always fun and this is a great way to display that to kids. The magnets seem to be of very good quality and they are very powerful. The glass bottle is actually pretty thick as you can see in the video and pictures. Very nice product and definitely recommend.

Best thing I’ve ever bought on Amazon

This is the most amazing and fun science toy ever! It’s a black blob of liquid iron that is bulbous and cute, but then you can activate spike mode using a combination of the included magnets. I already talked all my friends into getting one, and here I am telling random strangers that this is the sleeper of the year. I honestly think this would be a great gift for science teachers, any teacher really, and any age that’s mature enough to hold a bottle without drinking the contents. Honestly, best thing ever. Named mine “Herman.”

Fun and interactive curio item for kids to adults
The media could not be loaded.
I previously had another ferrofluid product like this that lasted 15 years— it was finally time to replace it. I like that this one has 2 magnets which makes moving the ferrofluid around more interesting and dynamic. This is the kind of item you can keep in your cubicle or on your desk, as well as on a coffee table (out of reach of small children and pets however- the magnets are a choking hazard). Most everyone seems to pick it up and play with it. I haven’t had any issue with the magnets chipping, but if you lose or break the magnets you can use almost any magnets with this product. The glass is durable; it’s a quality product advertised as a stem product, but also doubles as a fidget, cubicle/desk distraction, curio item. It’s worth the price.

Super fun ferro fluid kit!
The media could not be loaded.
Let me just start off by saying that I’m an almost 30 year old female. This ferro fluid is amazingly amusing. I would have been absolutely mesmerized by this when I was in grade school. I think this would be an incredible gift for anyone who is simply amused by the world around them. This would also be a great thing to keep on your desk at work, at home, especially if you are a teacher. This is great to see the interesting dynamics of magnetics and fluid. It comes with two magnets so you can see the magnets “compete” for the ferro fluid or gradually pull one magnet away from the glass and see how the fluid moves over to the other magnet. Honestly just buy it. I’m having way too much fun with this!

Make science fun!
The media could not be loaded.
I hate that I can only upload one video because I have so many cool ones of this! The fluid is amazing and you can easily connect the fluid to each side if you use both magnets at once! My kids absolutely love it and I use it in my classroom to teach about magnets, too! The only thing is that the magnets, themselves, got ruined when a kid let them hit against each other because they are really strong and do easily pull out of your hand. It really wasn’t his fault but it did crumble parts off of both magnets so I will need to get new magnets before anyone can use it again or else they will scratch the glass.
