5/5 cocktail book – I highly recommend
High marks all around, the physical book is gorgeous and great quality, the photography is beautiful and I have no doubt the recipes are great (have not tried one just yet, but have my eye on two) – I was compelled to leave a review for this because I believe the book is exceptional for both Batman fans and cocktail enthusiasts . As someone without much of an interest in comics, I was immediately captivated by the intro and the take on some classic cocktails.

High quality book, received as a gift – would recommend!
I was shocked at how good the book feels and looks. Pages are heavy and well printed. Recipes all have clever bat-names and it’s one of the best presents I got last year. I haven’t tried any of the drinks yet, but they all seem to be variants of well known cocktails.

Wanna make some sandwiches & soup just as Master Wayne had them?
Then look no further, as much as this is all of course based on fiction, But i tell you, the cucumber sandwich, that is the proper one, is totally awesome, that will cause you to pause. And then the big one, the Mulligatawny soup recipe of Alfred’s, mamma mia. It works!

Great book
There were many great cocktail recipes in this book and the descriptions and details invoke both Gotham City and the people that live there. You really got the impression that if you ever ended up in Gotham, you would see people enjoying their cocktails. Nice package and great recipes.

Well worth it for the Bat-fan!
Gorgeous photography, great page quality. The lemon chicken recipe is delicious! Not a fan of the brownies because the molasses overpowers everything else. Talon’s Out is good if you sub the club soda with a lemon-lime soda. A fun item.

Fun Read
I have A LOT of cocktail books and I make my own creations as well. I thought the theme of this book was fun and creative. Some drinks are very similar to what I would already make but there absolutely were some new ideas here and every drink I have tried was decent. Also, being someone that doesn’t need long chapters devoted to drinkware and directions (stir or shake, etc.) I appreciated that this book got to what I purchased it for quickly…. recipes. I also would note I could make almost all the recipes without needing to make a trip to the liquor store. That being said I keep a huge home bar. If you bar is geared for the absolute basics (rum and coke, gin and tonic, vodka soda, etc.) you are going to need to purchase supplies.

Came in perfect condition, was given as a gift to my friend who’s bartending in his retirement~ we’ve played around with a lot of the recipes, some are just spins on classics but others are original and all taste phenomenal! Great gift for someone who loves Comics and Mixology~

Where have you been all my life?
Bought this book on a whim – you know the whole Batman vibe, blah blah blah. Never really expected it to be so much fun & useful.We decided to go through the book and pick out several appetizers & drinks to try over a 7 day period. Found all kinds of interesting liqueurs and noshes we’d apparently never knew about.Our liquor cabinet is extremely versatile and our stomachs are very satisfied. This has been a very enjoyable adult experience.Aside from the drinkables & edibles – this book is a stunning presentation. I have/had many recipe books for both beverages and food, but this one is my hands-down favorite.Looks awesome, has a bunch of fun stories & quips, and some wonderful easy to assemble consumables.What the heck are you waiting for?

Gotham City Cocktails Book Review
The book is gorgeous. The quality is amazing. However, 2 of the pages w stuck together and the recipe was torn off. It was as if we got a returned book someone spilled water on and ripped a page.

Poor Binding
The pages are great and well put together but the binding is cheap. I opened the cover to personalize it for a gift and after writing in it I tried to close the cover and the hard cover board had come apart from rest of the binding. If I hadn’t written in it and needed to give the gift this week I would have tried to get another one. Hope it’s just this one.

Best cocktail book for your nerd husband
Honestly, this thing is badass. They have referenced drinks and food from almost all the Batman movies and series. The cover is a Suede texture that feels really nice when you’re holding it in your hands, and the instructions are very easy to follow to make your perfect Gotham inspired drink. My man absolutely loves this book, and we actually display it on a bookshelf with “smoke pellet” on display for everyone to see. We get compliments all the time. We love this cocktail book and I’m sure you will too!!

Great and interesting cocktails
The cocktails in the book are absolutely amazing and unlike most themed cocktails they involve complex flavors from things like Amarros and chartreuse that are all character themed twists on classic cocktails that make sense for each character. They are so much better than the normal gimmicky and sugary syrup and liqueur based themed cocktails. Also you only need about 8 different bottles to make 75% of the drinks.

Great Book
I don’t know why I expected this book to be large, like a coffee table book, but it is small – dimensions smaller than a sheet of paper. The quality is sturdy and elegant. Great for gift giving and beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. Pictures are colorful and recipes are plenty.

Pretty good
Pre-ordered this to try all the recipes but by the time it’s got here I’ve been 3 months sober and on a keto diet so can’t really give you a review about how good is all them recipes but there are enough people saying they’re great so I personally take their words for it and will try them sometime soon.I’m going to give you a review of the book itself.It is hardcover with a fabric/felt type material feel to it. Could get dirty & dusty very easily but looks beautiful and works well with it’s topic and overall design/theme of the book.The pictures of the drinks are beautiful and the print quality is really good. Only gripe is that it should’ve had pics for everything so you’d know how the end result should look like but no big deal, it’s got enough images.The design and the layout of the book is very well done. Typography is clean, easy to read. Really love the gold borderlines and the illustrations.I have uploaded many pictures for you to get a feel of the book, but didn’t want to reveal any of the recipes content. That’s for you to discover by purchasing the book which I recommend you to do so. Would be even great to just add to your book collection because of its unique theme. If you’re a Batman fan.. it’s a must have ; ]

Nicely bound, heavy on the cocktails, light on the food…
I received my book today. It is a beautifully bound and printed book with gorgeous pictures of the finished recipes. However s, the recipes are very heavy on the cocktails, with only 5 or so snack/ food recipes represented. I had really hoped to see a recipe for Lego Batman’s Lobster Thermador or recipes for the Chicken Piccata that Alfred served Bruce Wayne and Vicki Vale on their first date or the Vichyssoise that Alfred brought to the Batcave in Batman Returns. I guess the search continues.I see why Gotham needs Batman… does everyone have a drinking problem?

Surprisingly good
So, I bought this on a whim and wasn’t expecting much. Every themed cocktail book I’ve gotten or seen was a dumpster fire. This was not. Lot of cocktails that seem well thought out. No activated charcoal in anything I’ve seen yet. Even a few things in the back that aren’t cocktail related. Surprisingly good pickup.

This is how a “novelty” book should be!! Practical, quality, amazing!!!
From the moment I opened this I was impressed with this book. Having bought other “novelty” style books that were similar and being disappointed by the poor quality and content, you never know what you will get with these.This book oozes quality! It is as if Bruce Wayne approved it himself! The cover is hard and has a cloth texture with gold-embossed writing. The pages are thick, coated, and have many color pictures.The content itself is amazing!!! So many cocktails and SO much variety in terms of types of liquor used, types of cocktails, versions of drinks, and even quantities (single servings, punch bowls, etc.). The stories are amusing and the drinks actually do correspond with the logic of the stories! I look forward to making some of these and trying them out!This book is my favorite purchase of this kind! It belongs in every Batman fan’s collection and anyone who enjoys these types of books!Definitely pick it up!!
