    Great product, very well packaged

We played this on vacation and our family loved it. We wanted one for our home and ordered it. Unfortunately it was delivered in a huge rainstorm and the box had a few holes and was wet on the bottom. Once the seal is broken you have to deal with the manufacturer so I wanted to send it back just in case. My husband didn’t and opened the box. It was incredibly well packaged that there was no water damage. Each part was in tight plastic. It was easy to assemble. Highly recommend

Its Mortal Kombat! Nostalgic! Online Play! What else you need?

The media could not be loaded.

The cabinet is nice, art work is pretty and the games included are lots of fun ( Root Beer Tapper, Joust, Paperboy…) It is true what they say about the monitor, is crap, the wrong ratio size and washes the image from a few angles however it is totally playable and enjoyable even with that. Buttons are super cheap but they can easily be swapped with better quality ones. Online play is OK, could be better for sure but I can play just fine tue way it is today, of course you must have a good internet speed and connection, wired is preferred and also you depend on the other player’s connection so if you play people with good connection then lag is minimal.I used the black foam that comes inside to give the cabinet an extra inch and for people around 6ft or bit more its comfortable to play standing, I also inserted a couple of small foam blocks between the front part of the cabinet and the raiser and this prevents any jiggling since I don’t want to drill and screw the cabinet and raiser togetherI hope some of this helps!

Would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for the screen

I absolutely love this game cabinet. I’ve had a lot of fun playing games that I loved when I was growing up. The design is fantastic and the controls are great. I like the menu interface and the games list is fantastic. The only downside (and reason for 4 stars) is Arcade 1Up went cheap with the monitor. Fortunately I was able to find some videos online that shows how to upgrade it with an old Dell monitor and it makes a huge difference. I think I would still enjoy playing it with the stock monitor, but why not be 100% happy with it?

One of the best buying decisions I’ve ever made easily! MK 30th anniversary edition.

I loved all five of the original MK arcades back in the 90’s. I played the hell out of MK2, MK3, Ultimate and 4. I played the original MK in arcades then too just not as much because the damn thing always had people already playing it lol. This thing quickly turned into a love affair.I was originally undecided if I should get one. I was worried that it would be a bad purchase. Mainly because the damn thing is quite expensive. When I was originally looking on Amazon for this exactly, the prices were outrageous and I refused to buy one….I think the cheapest was $550. Then one day about a month or two after first looking…THERE IT WAS FOR $399. That to me was a steal but I was still worried.I just out of nowhere decided to get it. Took me around 2-4 hours to put together. However, once I had it built and played it….I knew it was the right choice.Pros:-Build quality…even though it’s still particle board….it’s SOLID. The graphics on the outside are amazing too even though it doesn’t have jump kicking Johnny on the sides. It was an easy build and very sturdy cab. I was dumbfounded with the quality.-Online play-I play the thing a lot so that has to be a pro-Easily customizable **(Voids warranty)**Cons:-Sticks and buttons aren’t the greatest and aren’t authentic to any of the Originals. The original Arcades had all HAPP controls. HAPP merged with a company in 2005 and became SUZO-HAPP. There was another company manufacturing for HAPP in the 90’s called Industrias Lorenzo from Spain. Now both SUZO-HAPP and Industrias Lorenzo both make the sticks all the MK, Street Fighter and Killer instinct cabs used back then. Arcade1up…in designing these cabs chose neither! For Authenticity why wouldn’t you choose one or the other instead of Sanwa Clones????-Sticks are Sanwa Clones-Buttons are half HAPP Clones and half Sanwa. The top of the button is concave like the original HAPPS but the bottom is short and push-thru design like Sanwa’s.-Wireless online play isn’t the greatest and Arcade1up needs to improve this somehow. Wired online play is good though. Even if you have a great great wireless connection and the person you’re playing against does too…there’s still lag constantly.-Button Layout is not authentic with the 1st MK game…that one had Street Fighter setup where you had 3 buttons in top row and 3 in bottom row with 2 block buttons in the middle of each row. MK2-4 had this setup. I prefer this setup so this one isn’t really a con.Pro/con undecided:-Many many people complain about the monitor that come stock on these and say they’re terrible. Well mine is perfectly fine and I’ve had absolutely no issues after a month of play. I honestly don’t know what the complaints are about.Even though I’m heavy on the cons with the Joysticks and buttons…THAT’S THE BEST PART: This cab is easily customizable to add whatever buttons/Joysticks you want which I mentioned in the Pros section. Virtually the only problem with customizing is SUZO-HAPP and Industrias Lorenzo Competition joysticks bases are too big and will create a problem with clearance next to the buttons. Which is my last complaint that they could’ve given a little more room between joysticks and buttons so that HAPPS could be used without having to do modifications to the HAPP base. There is room for this on the board so I don’t understand why they put each so close together. All in all this was easily a great buy regardless of my complaints about the sticks, buttons and wireless stuff. Definitely recommend!

    Freakin’ Awesome!

If 8th grade me knew that I would one day have a machine with Mortal Kombat 1 & 2 my head might have exploded. It also has Rampage & Gauntlet, so 3rd grade me would be happy too!

I do not regret this purchase

This actually turned out to be better than expected. I took my time and spent 4 hours putting it together. Follow the directs as written and you should be good. I made a couple of little mistakes. Fixing those mistakes was easy once I understood the purpose of a part. I was concerned about monitor and speaker quality but, that changed once I turned the machine on. The Internet access and updates were very easy.Changing out the buttons or joysticks will be a little tough because of the design but, as a casual player, they are not bad at all. I did purchase upgrade springs for the joysticks but, did not feel the need to change them out. There is a lot of room inside the cabinet. The potential for customization is really enhanced by this design; I am upgrading the sound. It is not because the sound is bad. It’s because I want more rumble.Overall – I am pleased with this purchase and so are my wife and kids. This is our 2nd arcade cabinet. The other is a cocktail table.

Good machine, wish quality control was a bit better…

This is my second machine from Arcade 1up. I really liked my first one and wanted to add Mortal Kombat to my basement arcade.Assembly was like the other- it takes about 1-2 hours. I had assembled another one recently so that helped. My issue with this one is the front panel under the control deck that says “Midway”, when assembled as the instructions showed, the “Midway” was upside down. Like, someone put the facade sticker thing on wrong, or when they put it in the jig to drill the holes, it was upside down. I’m an engineer, have no problem assembling things, and just built a similar machine a few weeks ago so I ensured it wasn’t operator error on my part. It wasn’t- it’s set up to only assemble one way. Just… that made it upside down. I was faced with three options: leave it as is upside down, contact 1up for a replacement (who knows how long that would be), or figure it out myself.I value my time and wanted it done today, so I ended up drilling holes on the other side to mirror what was there. For the most part that seemed to work fine, a few minor adjustments and had to swap screws to some I had at the house to make it all come together, but it worked out ok. Other than that hiccup, the rest of assembly was not bad.I like that the machine has a nice display screen. Even though you’re playing old games, the graphics look crisp since it’s not a CRT or anything like that. The fake coin slots at the bottom also look pretty cool. This is a fun machine and comes loaded with a good array of games. I highly recommend it for anyone who likes MK or wants to add to their home arcade. Defiantly will get hours of fun from this one!

Easy to assemble, took me about less than an hour. When playing online with wi-fi there’s lags

How do you not send all the parts?

This is a pain to put together.. takes 4 hours minimum and you need at least two people. I come to the end and realize they didn’t send me a power cord to plug it up. Very disappointing after spending all day assembling it.

    Do not buy

The LCD monitor will fail within a few months and then you just have junk sitting in your house, I contacted Arcade1up and they were useless on helping me fix an obvious manufacturing problem.

    Love this

Love this item was really easy to setup just follow the instructions and you will be fine. I did it alone and it took me around 3 hours so I suggest 1. Getting a partner 2. Using an electric screw (there are like 50+ screws so tedious) 3. Use some gloves wood is sharp I gave myself a narly cut on my finger when holding the wood and screwing in a nail. It works so well I only give the item a 4/5 because Amazon really screwed up my order and were originally out of stock but still listed the item as in stock so it really took 3 weeks for a prime 2 day delivery.

    Great customer support

1st of all, I think I had a unfortunate yet common problem with the unit freezing up on the load screen after the initial setup and update. HOWEVER, 1UP was very helpful and quickly sent me a new PCBA wich was easy to replace. The cabinet runs perfectly now, online is awsome. I see that the first thing people do is replace the screen… I found nothing wrong with the screen myself and am not in a rush to replace. All said..I love it I just love it. If your 40 then you remember seeing the back of this machine at the arcade, because the screen couldn’t be visible from outside the arcade. Nostalgic as heck for sure. But also official.

Off center screw holes and bad post holes.

I am keeping because these issues did not detract much from the overall sturdiness or look of the product. However customer service never replied to my email either. I just feel even though I got it on sale for 400 bucks, for what they charge for these that they could at least get the pre assembly screw and peg holes correct and sturdy or at least answer an email. Overall I really do enjoy this arcade machine for its playability and nostalgia, however I won’t buy another brand new one because they are way overpriced even on sale.

    Great machine, bad screen

It would get five stars because it has some of the best controls right out of the box for an Arcade 1up machine. I have 4 cabinets and I’ve replaced all my other joysticks with Sanwa controls, and this thing is pretty solid stock. The cabinet is just great looking and the game selection is pretty good. The screen was garbage and that was replaced with a new Dell monitor off eBay. So really if it came with a better monitor, I would give it five stars.

I bought this for my boyfriends birthday. He loved it! Everything came secure and with no damage. It’s a lot of pieces to put together but once complete it’s lovely.

Family fun from 4 years old to 44!

we like everything about it, beyond just mortal Kombat you have so many other games and as a parent it feels good to beat the kids at all of them. it is about half the size of a normal arcade game but as soon as you start playing it you don’t even realize it. the only thing I didn’t like was the assembly I took like 3 hours but when all your kids faces light up you forget about it quickly. I would highly recommend and I will be buying another from arcade one up

Slightly defected product. Crack on D1 side panel

I received the product late in the afternoon on Saturday May 6, 2023. I did not start putting it together until early Sunday morning May 7, 2023 when I noticed the D1 side panel had a crack in the middle back portion of the panel. Other than that the game plays relatively great.
